Composition is one of my top subjects! My award-winning writing career spans 38 years. Accolades include a Katie Award and three “Council for Advancement and Support of Education” awards. I have been published in national newspapers and magazines, as well as on-line. My syndicated column, “Lone Star Legends,” has appeared in 48 newspapers throughout Texas. Additionally, I have worked as a journalist in radio and television broadcast (most recently with CSPAN). I spent over 20 years as a graphic designer for various colleges and universities. In that time I used my office as an educational opportunity for my student assistants, but I always had the desire to teach. In 2011 I returned to school for my Teacher Certification in English Language Arts and Reading grades 8-12. My comments on tutoring Composition : I have taken upper level English courses for the past six years.

I have student taught for the past seven years. I have tutored countless individuals in English, Drama and American Sign Language.
