I have been painting for 6+ years and am very willing to share my knowledge of the tricky medium to anyone willing to learn it. Oils are my forte however I've worked in most other mediums a time or two. My current work is fully abstract but I have plenty of images of works that show my technical expertise.
I usually start off teaching the student basic utensil knowledge and slowly branch into oils from acrylic, first with no color so they will learn to see temperature. After we will learn the importance of white and how to not overuse such a strong hue. After this we will work from still-lives and also self-portraiture.

I have children of my own and have always enjoyed experiencing learning through their eyes and observing the different ways in which they learn. I am comfortable working with all age ranges and can accommodate special needs that a student might have. I relate well with most children and view them as a whole child with many strengths and weaknesses. Each is unique and may require multiple modes of instruction. Teaching is my passion I enjoy seeing the end result, when the student sees what they have accomplished. That is my reward.
