I believe that you must approach education by meeting the student where he or she is rather having the student conform to your style. Therefore I embrace an eclectic style. Each student will present with some king of dominant learning style. They will be primarily visual, auditory, conceptual or experiential. It is my job to discover that style in the teaching process and direct my approach to that student.

My primary experience in my over twelve years of teaching has been teaching students with special needs, working mostly with younger students with difficulties with reading and writing, or math.
