1998 was the my first tutoring experience, I took time from busy school schedule to tutor students in Math and Science at a low income school near my college. After spending time tutoring students in a variety of subjects I decided to go for an education degree once I finished my undergraduate degree. While working towards my Masters degree I spent a semester working in the Seattle Public school as a substitute teachers aid. Once I finished my Masters degree and teaching certification I received a job as an Earth Science teacher. I taught for one year at that school and then moved to the state of Tennessee. I enjoy finding out a student’s area of difficulty and address it directly. Students have different learning styles, it easy for me teach in a variety of styles so that to make sure my students understands. I do also apply almost everything I teach to real world situations, for example most young students may think that learning about triangles will not benefit his/her career in business. As his/her teacher I will show the student how one can use triangles to determine where to built a manufacturing company equidistant (meaning the distant between each raw material supply place to the manufacturing place is the same) to three raw material supply areas, which are not in the same place.

Growing up with more than five teachers in my family, I have always had a deep understanding of the importance of education and a drive to teach others. I recieved my Bachelor's in English from the University of Southern Indiana with the intention of completing a Masters and becomming an instructor at the college level. However, upon completion of my Bachelors, I immediately began teaching at Nashville State Community College as an adjunct english instructor.
