I have earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have over 15 years of teaching experience in all grade levels. I have spent the majority of my teaching career educating young adults in the areas of math, science, reading, social studies and writing.
Through my teaching experience thus far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities. A Little Bit About Me...

I attended several schools to achieve my undergraduate degrees, both of which I worked hard to excel at the University level. Attending graduate school at Binghamton University truly prepared me for academia, requiring many research papers and essays as well as honing my knowledge in psychology, the arts, human development, english, and biology. I have tutored, un-officially, all during my college years, forming study groups to better help my peers, as well as having volunteer positions tutoring in math and english.
I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student.
