I enjoy tutoring and working with children of all ages. Two concepts I consider most important are learning the basics and setting small goals towards the ultimate goal which is set with the student. I believe harder problems or concepts are understood if the basics are strong, and having goals is rewarding for both the student as well the tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

I have over 200 hours of classroom observation and teaching time. I have been an afterschool supervisor/leader at an inner city elementary school. I have also subsitute taught in a public school classroom. I was also the president of the TRIPLE E elementary education club at my college. I was also a leader at AWANA (a children's program). In addition to the classroom experience I have, I have also written numerous Units and/or lesson plans to teach in classrooms.
I am a kinesthetic learner, so I enjoy teaching in a very approachable, hands on kind of way. I realize every student is not that kind of learner, however, yet I try to make learning the subject at hand enjoyable and something that will be remembered not just for a test, but for life, in the student.
