My Undergraduate studies involved extensive study Art history and my Masters Diploma in Textiles helped me a lot in research studies.I also won a scholarship to study Strategic Design in Milan. I am very creative and can communicate effortlessly. During my stay in India, I volunteered in a Blind school and later in a school for slow learners and children with autism. My Masters in Psychology supplemented this learning. I worked for a year with Citibank in their training department that involved teaching new employees and developed numerous teaching modules. A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children. I was involved in girl scouts from first grade all the way to 12th grade and in those years I learned a lot of leadership skills. I am very patient and want to provide education to anyone that needs it. When I was in school I often struggled with school work, so I learned many different techniques to learn how to learn.
While I was an undergraduate, volunteering was very important to me. One of the places I volunteered was an after school program for children who live in Hamilton Hill. While I volunteered there I helped many of them with there homework as well as extra reading and writing to help improve those skills. I found that my psychology major as well as my education and english minors were very useful and helpful to help tutor in all subjects.

Since graduating, I have been involved in various volunteer tutoring efforts. My minors are in Math, German, and Writing. I happen to be a black female, the first to earn bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering at MIT.
