As I attended Asnuntuck Community I volunteered as a math and desktop tutor. I was so well liked the State of Connecticut hired me after graduation where I still work today (Saturdays). It is of the utmost importance that a student understands the separate components of a theory or process in order to comprehend the larger picture. Therefore, I believe rote learning seriously prohibits true understanding for many students.
