I have a Ph.D in Chemistry in 2008. I have taught chemistry labs for 4 years in my graduate school. From 1999-2001, I was tutoring students from elementary school up to high school in math and science classes
The experience of teaching students, though complicated at times, was extremely rewarding. I felt a sense of joy when my students understood a concept here and there. I like to teach using examples, either on a board to show a person step by step first. Then try to give the student examples to try to solve themselves. If this does not work I continue to breakdown a problem until we can clearly identify where the student is having trouble.
