A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate in Accounting, I was given the tools to be able to teach and comprehend a lot of math skills. I was able to take both Business and Math Courses in college including: Business Management, Calculus, Business Accounting, and Algebra. During the last 4 years I have privately tutored students in math and 98% of them went from being F students to B-A students in both math and business courses.
I love to teach students of all ages. I love the looks on their faces when I help them get something that they never thought they would learn. I am very patient and love to show them a few short cuts on different things that way it makes it easier for them to learn and comprehend. I attended college at Bloomsburg University and earned my BS in accounting, which is one of their few accredited and highly respectable programs. My cumulative GPA was 3.49 (on a 4.0 scale), and I received A's or B's in all accounting, auditing, and finance courses taken. In my experiences, I have found the best way to fascilitate the learning of mathematics is through visual instruction via a whiteboard and/or blackboard. After the student sees an example of a problem done, I like to sit down with the tutee and have them walk me through the problems to make sure they have a good understanding of both the way to do the problem as well as a stron conceptual understanding of the material.
