A Little Bit About Me...

In 2006 I was at my final step of reaching my BA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English with only having left to complete my student teaching, but was taken by another opportunity. I moved to Japan and teach ESL and ESOL for almost 3 complete years. I taught from all ages two to adults, and learned many new skills, instruction and classroom management techniques, a new language and different ways to engage students in lessons. Most of my teaching and tutoring has been in the field of English from basic grammer skills to Chaucer. I independently designed and carried out experiments relating to thermodynamics, scanning tunneling microscopy, and self-assembled monolayers. I was a part of other research projects involving the same, as well as nanoparticles, molecular electronics, and surface catalysis. Each student I had tutored when I was in college I had basically spoke with them, got to learn what they strong points were, their weaknesses, and areas that needed more base learning.
