Elementary Math Tutor-Bilingual-Spanish

I have 10 years of 5th grade teaching experience, including 6 years of math, 3 years of reading, 3 years of social studies and writing, and 1 year of science. All of my teaching has been done in Title 1 public schools in bilingual classrooms and has included teaching newcomers, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students new to the country. A Little Bit About Me...

I hold a BA in Anthropology/Environmental Studies from Bryn Mawr College. I succeeded in Calculus level math and high level Economics courses. Since graduating, I have taken additional college courses in history and government. I have accumulated about 3 years of diverse teaching experiences. I recently spent 6 months as an interpretive Park Ranger at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. While in college, I worked at a community center tutoring elementary school children in math and reading after school. As an Environment Education Peace Corps volunteer for 2 years in Tanzania, I taught a wide range of subjects including English, Biology, nutrition, and HIV/AIDS education.
