Algebra II is one of my top subjects! I have tutored Algebra 2 for more than two years now. I have used various technological tools like Maple and WebAssign to help students solve complex problems. My approach to helping students learn algebra is to consistently remind them of basic stuff while they delve themselves into complex problems. I like to tell students, "You are working too hard." This means, I have a better and simpler way of understanding and solving the problem. When students get too submerged into problems, they tend to forget basic stuff. That is where reminding them of basic concepts becomes important. One of the examples is when students see a really long equation, they automatically think it involves some complex formulas and techniques while it can be just broken down with simple concepts.

I involve students a lot during the learning period. I consistently ask them questions about the topic and let them think for a while. I give them as much information as possible so that they do not miss any information while solving problems. I make students write. That is how they learn. I consistently give students concepts and them demonstrate with sample questions.

Never stop learning!

I truly believe the strength of my teaching/ tutoring style is my devout compassion. I am able to exemplify extreme focus, patience, motivation and due diligence because I ultimately care about the success of the students I tutor. My initial step in the tutoring process is to perform a thorough analysis of the students comprehension of the subject. Once I'm aware what the student understands and don't understand a unique and proper game plan is developed to reach a confident grasp of course material.
I grasped the importance of education at a very young age and excelled throughout school. Early in my youth I also developed a sincere passion for helping fellow classmates who I saw were having difficulties comprehending course material. I had a knack for connecting with students, identifying the point of confusion, and creating different avenues to reach full comprehension of a su ... read more

Focused Math Tutor with dedication and direction

I am a very logical and result oriented person. If you are interested in seeing better results from the scores, tests and believe in making rapid change in your thought process, you may want to try me. I believe learning should be fun and not all work. Not all answers will be shortcuts that would involve lot of memorizing, but very systematic and logical way of approaching a problem for the student to gain interest and at the same time be able to address any problem out of the box. I do understand that not all students are the same and each one of them would require different teaching model to reach eventually to the same high levels. I have given several exams in and out of the country and there are definite tips that can help the student to achieve better results with the same knowledge level. I have scored over 95 percentiles in almost all the exams that I gave, some times wit ... read more
