I have taught at the University level for the past six years but do feel I can teach science at any level and love working with children and young adults. I have a great deal of patience and love teaching using a practical examples approach to better relate the concepts being taught to something your student may better understand. I have two B.S. Degrees, one in Humanities and the other in Technical Project Management. Computer experience - Microsoft classes and college courses in networking and web design. My most recent job I was an IT Project Manager. I have 15 years of experience in working with computers and computer applications. English - As a substitute teacher I taught English and Language Arts. I have taken several English/Literature courses in North Central University and at ITT-Tech. Math - College courses through Calculus. Science - College courses in Biology and Environmental Sciences. Social Studies - My humanities degree is in World Cultures. I volunteered for the Special Olympics and for the D.A.R.E program from Elementary students back in 2003 and 2008. With the Special Olympics, I helped cook and serve food to the contestants in the olympics and I also was there to be a friendly and supportive coach-assistant to the athletes. With the D.A.R.E program, I went to Elementary schools in the town of Faribault MN, and I worked along side with the police department to show and educate kids the dangers of meeting strangers and how to handle that type of situation.
I don't have a wide teaching experience but I do enjoy working and helping Elementary or junior high leveled children.
