A Little Bit About Me...

How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Because of my love of learning I taught all my siblings how to read. I know it is pretty funny but it is a true story. That led to my doing teaching seminars, which led to consulting, which led to training, which led to my working with individuals as a life coach. I have been a CEO, Vice President, Consultant, Senior Broker, Artist, Photographer, Glass Blower, Jewelry Designer and writer, the job titles have changed over the years; the only consistent has been that teaching has always been a part of my working life.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught many different students from all types of backgrounds, from gifted to learning disabled. The reason I have success with these students is because I make learning fun and relevant. I develop creative tools that are of interest to that particular student, while cultivating a great deal of empathy. This is based on getting to know the family the child is a member of. By understanding the lifestyle,demographics and cultural nuances, I can determine any problems that may deter from learning, and any strengths which can be built upon.
