I have two years of experience as a GED tutor, and have graduated 12 students in that time. I have been a computer programmer for 40 years, including 18 years as a freelance programmer. I have dabbled in writing over the years, writing poems, short stores and vignettes. In the past three years I have begun focusing more on writing, and am 2/3 through a novel. I have studied communication, language and writing extensively on my own, and have written a grammar textbook, which I have used successfully with my GED students.

A Little Bit About Me...

Will have an Associates in computer programming as of May 2012 from JCC i know C++, VB, PHP, MySQL, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and i am very fluent within a Windows based operating system. I have been taking computer classes since the begining of summer in 2010 at JCC i have grown up on windows based operating systems since 95 and learned exel,powerpoint,and word in high school before 2006 and have taken extended classes on them also at JCC.

As a substitute teacher for the past three years, I have experiencing teaching nearly every academic subject. I am a published playwright and have sold over fifteen short scripts for religious one-acts to the Nashville-based Belden Street Music Company. My writing and composition skills are particularly strong, my understanding of grammar is excellent and I have worked extensively in high school English/writing classes. I also held a long term substitute assignment in an Air Force Junior ROTC program in which I taught leadership skills and character building. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been at Pennfield High School for almost 6 months now and I have learned how to incorporate the new standards into the curriculum. I am currently teaching part time in the Mathematics department, teaching the subjects of Geometry and Algebra. I also have spent 5 years working for the Carman Ainsworth School District as an At-Risk tutor. I create a positive atmosphere and help students to be responsible first to themselves and then to their community.
