I held this position for two years along with a summer position tutoring Algebra and French with HEC Upward Bound, which service at-risk youth. I like teaching students by explaining the material in a way I think is easiest to understand. I always emphasize how the material relates to what students already knows and how they can use what they know to solve problems. Often students cannot see how what they are learning can ever be useful in real life situations so I also try to give examples of when they might use what we are covering.
