I am 23 year old recent graduate from George Mason University. I have a major in English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing, and a minor in Secondary Education. My comments on tutoring English : My mother was an teacher of English and Rhetoric; ergo, I have been grading papers for Seniors since the 3rd grade.

While I was a Rotary Exchange Student – South Africa | 1999-2000, I volunteered to tutor students of various ages every subject, except Afrikaans, and was very pleased with their progress, and enjoyed it. The way how I run my classes are first we do a warm up on the subject that I will be teaching and then I will teach the student a lesson. I believe in incorporating multiple methods of teaching language, and with such a complex topic as learning a second, or even third language I also believe in tailoring said methods to the student's specific needs. For example, if one finds a kindred with music, introducing them to french songs would be one of the stronger ways to accomplish fluency and language recognition.
