A Little Bit About Me...

I started teaching Sunday School when I was in Junior High. I taught a little boy in my class how to read and it was the most rewarding experience I have ever encountered. As aforementioned, throughout high school, I began tutoring students in Math, English, Spanish, Science, and History. I tutored one 6th grade student who was ADHD. He had several tutors before me, but none had the patience to work with him. I started tutoring him and fell in love with this particular child. It was hard at first because everything distracted him, but I tried different approaches until he finally began to understand the material. This way I am also able to recognize when someone is frustrated or exhausted and use these signs to better cope with any behavioral problems that may arise. A Little Bit About Me...

I have over 25 years experience as a hospital (CFO) Chief Financial Officer. My educational experience includes: teaching high school, teaching college and tutoring elementary and junior high school. I hold a PhD in Financial Management. I have taught English, math, Spanish, accounting, money and banking, investments, human resource management. I have taken these tests myself or have learned how to tutor these: GED, Entrance Exams, GMAT,GRE, MCAT, PCAT, Skills, Strategies and SAT verbal and math.
My teaching style includes using visuals such as writing on a dry erase board and Powerpoint. I have a great sense of humor but I can firm when I have to be. I am patient and caring and seem to have an intuitive ability to know what the student needs the most.
