I love teaching and working with all children. I believe all children can learn, but each in different ways. Having spent a lifetime in the business world, I have a more practical, down to earth, hands on approach to learning. Learning by doing is a Boy Scout approach to learning. As a Boy Scout Leader for many years, I recognized this teaching method, because this is how I learn. I love helping people achieve their dreams and goals and I have high expectations for all children and adults I am teaching. As an educator I encourage my students to believe in themselves and convince them they have the ability to be successful in whatever they want to achieve. One of my students was struggling with C's and D's for grades and he was getting extra help but he was frustrated. Once or twice a week we would chat about it. I encouraged him to put forth a little more effort and I promised him his studies would get a little easier over time.
