I also encourage students to enrich their writing by reading as often as possible. Young people who take writing seriously are preparing for a successful college career. Post-secondary students who learn to write effectively are more employable than those who view writing as a technical obstacle. As an undergraduate I worked at the mathematics tutor lab in our department. As a PhD student I both taught and assisted in the teaching of mathematics courses at the university level. Also I have experience with privately tutoring elementary, jr. high and high school students.
