I believe that education is the most efficient way to combat any issue. I, therefore, feel that it is essential for youth to find success throughout their academic journey. I approach work with youth from a strengths perspective. As a result, I am able to quickly assess a young person's assets and skills that will help him or her access education in the easiest way possible. I have been educating people since 1987. I began in music education, which I taught successfully for 9 years, and also taught piano lessons. I then worked in special education for 1 year as an educational technician, where I tutored math, reading, and students with severe disabilities. I continued on a transitional certificate teaching elementary grades two and four, and most recently have taught post-secondary medical assisting students at a post secondary institution as well as teaching night courses in adult education in medical terminology and medical transcription. I had great success in all fields among my students.
