As a regular classroom teacher, I felt hampered due to class size. I was never satisfied connecting with just a few students. Every student was important to me. I realized that the only way for me to really reach students was by reducing the teacher-student ratio. As a tutor, I found that teaching smaller groups of students or one-on-one was for me. Using this style, I feel strongly that students learn more, particularly at home. Students are much more comfortable at home which creates an excellent environment for learning. For as long as I can remember I have loved to learn. Through college I tutored in psychology, english, the arts, statistical math, and certain classifications of sciences. My favorites were psychology and english because of the freedom you can give due to interpretaional material.
As a psychology major I was fascinated with how the mind works in all arenas.
