Tutor for the summer

I use the iPad (excellent resource) books, worksheets and materials I make to fit the situation.
I am a speech therapist with 11 years and experience. I have worked with students pre-k through 12th grade, primarily pre-k through 5th grade. I have extensive experience working with students on reading comprehension, answering and asking questions, semantics of language (antonyms, synonyms, multiple meanings of words, attributes, categorization), syntax, grammar, phonics and much more! I have found that tutoring sessions are most effective when they are fun! Many students find it difficult to stay focused, especially after a full school day. For this reason, I prefer to change tasks frequently and use a variety of fun games to switch up the pace of the session. Learning can be frustrating for many students when a particular subject does not come as naturally or easily as other subjects.
