My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I am able to tutor grades Kinder-5th grade in reading comprehension. As a mother, a writer, and a former reading coach volunteer I am prepared to help your grade school child increase his/her ability to read fluently and comprehend what is being read. I am prepared to work with children who's first language is not English.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a minor in Race and Ethnic Relations.In addition to being a social worker I am also a published writer. I have had my work printed (hardcopy and online) by multiple magazines and anthologies. I am currently under contract for a book due out in 2012. Also in the fall of 2012 I will begin pursuing a Master's of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing. Aside from academics, I am a former volunteer for Literacy Coalition where I worked with adults and teens who wished to improve their reading and comprehension skills.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I love to read. I have taken Children's literature courses, along with always reading to my own children. Reading needs to be interactive for the child to grasp the concept...I am great with accomplishing a child's comprehension of reading....I love it...I know the tricks....beginning with basics...repetition....I possess great patience to effect this end.
