My comments on tutoring Entrance Exams : I am best in mathematics.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, in 1989. Since graduation I have worked as both a full-time teacher and a substitute teacher. I have taught full-time at five different traditional schools and Florida Virtual School. In these positions, I have taught Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Analytic Geometry, Algebra I, 7th Grade Math, 8th Grade Math, Computer Applications, and various general math courses. I have also worked as a private tutor off and on since college with students K-12 and adult in all levels of math.

My college experience in the subjects of Economics, Government, Language, Math, Science, and Social Studies was rigorous. After finishing undergraduate courses, I worked for a program that sent college students out to public schools to be Teacher's Aids. We were expected to help any students who were falling behind in a subject. The experience was so rewarding that after graduation, I took a position working with troubled students convicted of sexual assault, teaching them math and science for six months. That time was more challenging since students had wide-ranging ages and special needs. I learned how to work with I.E.Ps. Later, I worked as a tutor/teacher at a middle school in L.A. As a student attending Florida State University's Civil Engineering program I was required to regularly learn, understand and apply complex mathematical equations, and scientific concepts to both hypothetical and real world problems. I was also required to regularly exercise my grammatical skills through regular lab reports. In regards to tutoring experience, as a high school student attending A.C. I hold a provisional Teaching Certification from the State of Michigan; I have begun the process of transferring it to the State of Florida. A Masters degree in Education is in my near future.
