As a graduate of the University of Rochester, I have obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Aside from this, I also have a minor in Economics, as well as a concentration in English. Throughout this coursework I have written numerous research papers and essays, and as a result I believe I have very strong written, grammatical, and reading comprehension skills. I am a big believer in stationed teaching concepts. A student must first, learn through audio and visual styles of learning through teacher-student interactions. I work on vocabulary strategies and skills next. The proper vocabulary background for any subject area should be clear and concise to the student. We next work on concept mapping, and linking common themes. There is a process to every step of learning. I will review often to look for missing concepts. A Little Bit About Me...

Learning and teaching is my passion. In high school it ws teachers with the same passion that made learning fun and encouraged me to achieve academic success. Most any subject can be made interesting if approached the right way. Mostly it is about patience and good respectful communication. I especially cherish working with young children who are usually starving for real knowlege, but are lacking the opportunity to engage their minds in a meaningful way. I love to help a student work their way through any difficulty they are having in any of the major subjects. It is always a challenge to direct the students learning and not do the work for them. But it is a good challenge! While I was a supervisor in the ACE based Christian school, I helped many of the students in the school to understand the areas, especially of math and science, where they had difficulty. Most recently I had the challenge of tutoring my wife, who is working on her Bachelors in Healthcare Management, through Business Math and Business Algebra.
