Then, I establish a baseline of what they have learned so that I can direct my attention to their strengths and weaknesses. Finally, I get into the material with the student and show them how and why the material is important and applicable in the world in which we live.
I have served as a substitute teacher in Hayward, CA for 1 1/2 years. I worked as a tutor for Learning & Loving It in San Jose, CA for 3 years. I served as a tutor and teacher of adult education in Loganville, GA for 1 year. I am currently on the substitute teacher roster for the Vicksburg School District, and I have been so for two years.

I am a college graduate that has spent the past 8 years working in health and science education and development. During this time I have not only developed educational programs for low literacy and bilingual groups, written grants for government funding for Health educations, but I learned how to educate people of all types of literacy levels. I have tutored students of all ages in the areas of English, Biology and Health Science.
My teaching methods are structured and developed for each individual person. I believe that there are many ways to teach a student. A Little Bit About Me...

I earned both my Bachelor's of Arts in English and my Master's of Science in Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi. While at USM, I served as the Assistant to the Graduate Reader as a graduate student, where my job was to proof graduate and Ph.D. students' theses and dissertations. This job, in particular, helped me become extremely familiar with APA and MLA formatting, as well as everyday grammar and word usage. I also took a number of education classes while persuing my Bachelor's degree.
I realize that, in order for a student to want to learn, the subject must be presented to them in an interesting way.
