A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated in December 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. My specializations are in elementary education (prek-6th grade) and all-level special education. I worked in Hale Center ISD for the after school enrichment program at Akin Elementary from August 2012 until the program ended in June 2013. I completed one rotation of student teaching in special education at Hillcrest Elementary and one rotation of student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom at Thunderbird Elementary. I have been teaching special education at Highlands Elementary since January 2014.
Through my teaching style I emphasize hands-on learning by using manipulatives. I also use modeling and repetition. As a late bloomer to my education, I understand the importance of completeing an education at the earliest time. I currently hold a BS degree in business with an emphasis on international markets. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching children. I normally have a very relaxed style, but I emphasize setting goals and completing the task at hand. I gain a great deal of personal satisfaction in helping others learn. When I teach, I introduce myself and let others introduce themselves.
