My first approach is to capture the student’s interest in the subject. I am a flexible instructor, willing to try different approaches to stimulate the learning process. My approach is tailored to the student’s needs and interests. This makes the student want to learn and try harder. When that drive is in place and the partnership develops there is no end to what can be accomplished! This is a strong point in my teaching style.
As a trainer I have over 12 years of experience. My most recent position required me to offer alternatives to individuals and then assist them in implementing their choices. I developed internships and mentor programs for a large corporation. The remedial training program I developed was used nationally by the corporation. I began my college career in Music Education. Here I continued to pursue my love of playing the piano. I played as a child, since age six. My teaching style is very different, but I love being able to differentiate my lessons to best suit my students. I do believe that all children have different learning styles, so when I deliver instruction, I try to combine the types of styles and incorporate kinesthetic activities for the students to visually see and have that hands on experience.
