As an Electrical Engineering student at Virginia Tech, I tutored other students in all subject matter related to my field. I tutored for three years privately and one year at the Electrical Engineering department tutring center. Since then I have worked for about four years in my field professionaly. I do this through modeling what I expect them to learn, provide time for guided practice, reteach and model more if necessary, then provide opportunities for independent practice, while giving specifc feed back. The background to most common disorders in adults is complex involving multiple genes, thus I used advanced fuzzy latent class analysis to identify high and low risk sets of gene variants and to define the level of risk for individuals.
