A Little Bit About Me...

My education in a liberal arts college has allowed me to not only master an extensive range of subject matter from mathematics to science to humanities; but it has also allowed me to apply my knowledge in everyday situations. I have a BA in Chemistry and a BA in Environmental Studies. I grasp a wide range of physical science subject matter, as well as familiarity in public policy, currents issues, essay writing and critiquing, and research and analytical methods. During my college experience I assisted students in freshman and organic chemistry. I also helped develop and implement a laboratory course for non-science majors. These experiences allowed me to learn how to clearly and cohesively explain chemistry theory and applications.

A Little Bit About Me...

I received a BA in History from the University of Arkansas in 1991. My cumulative GPA at the U of A was 3.96. I was in the Honors Program and graduated Summa cum Laude. I also received several other academic awards from the History Department and the University. I have worked in the Commercial Construction industry for the past seventeen years. For the past five years I have been deeply involved in employee training. I have designed curriculums and provided training in safety as well as general construction knowledge such as Blue-print Reading, Scheduling, Basic Carpentry, etc.
While my experience as a trainer has been with adult employees, they have been a diverse group in terms of age, educational background, literacy and experience. During and after earning my degree, I spent almost nine years working in healthcare as a medical assistant, teaching patients in a one on one environment. Most recently I was an Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor. I have given training presentations to groups from as small as three to as large as sixty. During this school year, I have worked as a substitute teacher for Calvary Christian Academy.I was involved in 4-H for 9 years. Through that opportunity I was instilled with a passion for community service.
