My approach is to establish a relationship with small talk and introductions. A parent must be present at all times. I served four years of active duty in the United State Marine Corps. I have mentor and lead Marines on a daily basis to ensure their safety and well being. Teaching them their job skills and ensuring that each individual conduct themselves as a Marine. I have acquired electronics/electrical skills in troubleshooting and repairing. These skills required an extensive math knowledge. While serving in the Marine Corps, I worked on my BS in Electronic System Technology and completed this degree in December of 2009.

I do not have a particular style of teaching. I prefer to talk to the individual I am tutoring and together discover the best way to teach them the subject material. I believe that everyone learns information at a different pace and that some information is easier to process than other information. I believe that individuals should be comfortable while learning in order for them to actually learn. I would never force someone to learn "my way" and would work with them on developing a way that works for both of us. In 2002 I graduated with a degree in biotechnology. During the last semester of school, I was a substitute teacher, where I learned a lot about children and different teaching styles. After graduation, I pursued a career as a chemist, but I always maintained a second part-time job teaching, in some fashion. Usually, that teaching involved a pool. I have been a swimming lesson instructor for 10 years and have been a YMCA swim coach for 3 seasons, coaching over 200 children per year.
