A Little Bit About Me...

I rediscovered my joy for teaching in my Masters program achieving an M.A. in Theology and Popular Culture. I helped my friends build stronger research papers and better study habits. I have for the past two fall Semesters been teaching what I think are important skills for each person to acquire- reading, study and critical thinking skills. I think these skills help the student accomplish whatever goals they have set for themselves.
I enjoy the individuality of each student. One student may learn best visually, while another through kinesetics, each a valid learning style. I have over 9 years of combined teaching and instruction experience at the junior high, senior high, private, collegiate, and adult levels. Through scholarships, I have earned a B.A. in Psychology from Ohio Northern University and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University. I am currently working on my second M.Ed. degree and beginning my 3rd season as a Head Boys Track Coach. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Mount Union College in 2006. After that, I became certified in the Berlitz method and also tutored foreigners working in the states. I also taught elementary Spanish at Woodridge. In college, I would help my friends with their studies.
I love teaching and helping others learn something new. I love the smile in a child's eyes when they figure out what they have learned. I have been teaching for 25 years. I have tutored students in beginning Spanish and reading. I have also taught Sunday School and have been a substitute teacher for 11 years. I have just completed student teaching to become an Intervention Specialist. I intend to be certified this spring.
I vary my teaching style. Some students are content with just reading while others need hands-on and visual experience.
