Most any subject can be made interesting if approached the right way. Mostly it is about patience and good respectful communication. I really enjoy tutoring. I have been told in the past by students I have tutored that I am able to bring the information to their level, helping them to more easily understand the subject at hand. I love teaching, period. I strive for clarity in my presentation. This has allowed me to explain very complex ideas to adults as well as very young children. The mark of a good teacher is comprehension. Never is there a place for anger or impatience in teaching! It is the duty of the instructor to demonstrate why the subject is important and interesting. For example, I never enjoyed Math until a teacher in college explained it's value. It was not that we will necessarily need to perform those equations, rather it is that it trains our mind how to think well, much like mental gymnastics. A Little Bit About Me...

While an undergraduate at a community college I earned three associates degrees, AS in Biology, AS in Chemistry, and an AS in Public Policy. I continued my undergraduate work at Utica College of Syracuse University and I earned a BS in Chemistry. I tutored on an off throughout my two and a half years at community college in subject areas such as chemistry, math, biology, economics and sociology.
I love helping people learn chemistry. Chemistry is a subject that seems very hard because it is a dicipline. As a tutor I will help students to develop adequate study skills. A Little Bit About Me...

I started off college at Mohawk Valley Community College and earned a Liberal Arts and Science degree. I feel that all college students should be well rounded and should take a wide variety of courses. I then enrolled at Utica College to finish my BS degree. Over those two years, I took 18 science courses and most of them were accompanied by labs. It was stressful and difficult but it was something I was determined to complete. I thought I wanted to go to medical school, but later decided against it. Also during my time at Utica College, I conducted medical research with Aspartame and Omeprazole on mice. I love to help a student work their way through any difficulty they are having in any of the major subjects. It is always a challenge to direct the students learning and not do the work for them. But it is a good challenge! While I was a supervisor in the ACE based Christian school, I helped many of the students in the school to understand the areas, especially of math and science, where they had difficulty.
