I realize that learning reading and writing skills can be difficult. When I teach young people, I work to push each person patiently but constantly to improve with each lesson. Each person learns a little differently, and I like to learn the student’s strengths and weaknesses and work from there. I support hands-on learning. There is only so much a person can talk about writing. The best way to learn writing is to write. The best way to improve reading comprehension is to read. Reading unlocks vocabulary. And a good vocabulary helps in written and verbal communication. Over the last 4-6 years I've had to teach coworkers the intricacies of engine technology (basic hydrocarbon breakdown and nitrogen depleting systems) to basic geometry and electrical circuits ( from creating concentric bends in pipe to large scale automated systems). I have not taught english to an 11th grader in a public school, but I make it a fact to learn everyday and spread the knowledge to whomever i come into contact with and is willing to learn. A Little Bit About Me...

Since graduating from Missouri State in the fall of 2009 with my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish education I have been substituting with Sparta schools and Republic schools. I have also been tutoring a student in Spanish. I completed my student teaching in the fall of 2009 with Ozark High School and Springfield Catholic School. Before then I spent several years working with kids at book festivals and in Mexico through Second Baptist Church.
