I enjoy helping others gain an understanding and interest in any subject that may be troubling them. To start, I find out what the student is currently studying and what material the student understands. I then use what the student knows to introduce and explain the material the student does not understand. Throughout the process I do my best to make sure the student understands what is being explained and has the ability to solve problems without my guidance. Once I see the student is comfortable with the material, we move on to new material. I try everything I can to work with students' needs and wants in order to help them gain confidence in their education.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with a BS in Business Administration - International Business and a focus in Chinese. Because this program is relatively new, a degree in International Business required multiple Finance courses, which allowed me to learn many advanced statistical and mathematical concepts. In these classes, I often assumed an informal tutor role and helped my fellow students understand difficult points. In addition, I trained new employees during my tenure as Lab Manager of a campus computer lab.
I like to teach by using examples (as many as it takes) and by breaking down difficult concepts into relevant, manageable information for the person I'm assisting.
