Poor college kid trying to make a living

I’m good with kids, high school and below I can break it down easily, I have good study habits, and I like to encourage people to better themselves educationally. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a BS in Biology and Genetics from North Carolina State University. I have recently taken a refresher course in Anatomy and Physiology to go back to school for radiology. I have taken college level math courses through Calculus II, I have taken General Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, and multiple courses in Genetics. I have helped tutor in high school for the Chemistry AP exam and helped fellow students in college.
I believe in being hands on and visual, many students have problems in math and science because they are unable to visualize the words written in their books. I am extremly organized so that my time is best spent on the most difficult areas for each individual student.

I studied Biology at Warren Wilson College in hopes of becoming a high school biology teacher. If I were to sum my "style" of teaching up, it would be "patience with determination". Perhaps my best achievment is with my wife who recently graduated from A-B Tech. Kate has always had a block toward anything mathematic. She had one course between her and graduation, college algebra! The bottom line here is that I patiently stuck through this course treatment with her to a successful completion, she completed the course and graduated with a well earned "C" or a 78%. With patience and determination shared together with the student, impediments like a dread for math can be overcome.

As a high school student, I was very active in extracurricular activities. I participated in the rotary club, volunteering at local soup kitchens. I was also a member of the Newspaper, Quiz Bowl, Robotics Team, soccer and baseball throughout my high school career.
