I received my BA degree in Ecology/ Evolution from the University of Utah. Many years later after serving in the military and starting a family, I went back to school to receive a teaching certificate in the state of NC, after moving to Arkansas with my family, I converted it to an Arkansas license. In 2009, I returned to school again to fulfill a dream of completing a Master's degree. I have been working as a substitute teacher for 5 years and I have been tutoring for 2 years. I would love to assist you in your educational or musical pursuits. I have been playing the violin for 30+ years, both in church and in concert as well as in my own home for my own enjoyment.

Very comfortable working with large groups or individuals. I have like to use interaction and real-world examples to demonstrate the concepts of chemistry. I can drill students who are struggling or not comfortable with the rhythm of the classroom, or review with A.P. chemistry students before a test. I let the students drive the direction of a tutoring session when they are confident in core concepts. I have tutored at several locations and can provide references for the high school and college students that I have tutored. I would also be comfortable teaching basics of math, physics, or Spanish. I have taught University classes on chemistry for beginners (high school level) as part of my graduate assistantship.

I am currently beginning my Masters in Education, so tutoring is just a stepping stone for me! I currently hold a BS in Exercise Physiology. I am willing to do just about anything to help a student learn a subject, so long as that student is as dedicated to learning it as I am to teaching it. It takes two people working together in order to have a sucessful tutoring session. I have tutored most subjects in both in middle school and high school.
