I have worked for the past 14 years in the behavioral health care field. I have served as a mentor to a youth with behavioral/emotional issues. I hold a BA of Education with a minor in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. I also hold an MSEd in Education- Counseling. I hold a current Nebraska teaching certificate and have worked with youth of all ages.
I enjoy teaching and helping youth learn. My philosophy is that all children can learn if provided the opportunity and resources that fit their learning style. I believe in positive reinforcement and praise. Children learn in many different ways, and it is an educators role to provide opportunities for children to learn through various methods. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a laid back person who is easy to talk to and love to break the complicated down into the easy to grasp. I am a firm believer that every teaching relationship is an opportunity for all involved to learn (and that includes the instructor!). My goal is to teach others how to become effective communicators not only in the realm of the classroom, but in everyday life as well. I enjoy helping my students learn skills that can be applied to every subject in school and in life. I tell all my students who don't feel they have the skills to be a writer that great writers are taught to write; they are not born that way. I know that with my skill, I can give students the chance to become great.
