I am graduating with my Bachelor's degree in Sociology at Tennessee Technological University of Cookeville, TN. I transferred from a 2 year community college in Harriman, TN known as Roane State Community College. Before starting college, I graduated from Rockwood High School in Rockwood, TN, where I never made lower than a B or a high C in some of my harder classes. I started taking college classes in my Senior year of high school and I was always in the advanced Math classes up until that point. I'm a quick, fast learner and always strive to be better in what I do. Right now, my major at TTU is in the concentration of Social Work, in which I hope to become a high school guidance counselor or a counselor in practice.

A Little Bit About Me...

My experience as a teacher and instructor has been centered around my experience as a musician. Learning how to play and read music drastically helped me in school in all of my other subject areas. I knew early on that I would continue to play music and also that I would want to stay involved with music in some way. I earned a degree in music education in 2001 and although I didn't begin my public school teaching experiences until 2003 I began teaching private lessons and tutoring other students while still in high school. Due to family issues, I dropped out at in the 9th grade but due to extensive reading most of my life on many subjects, and being gifted intellectually, thank God, I was enrolled in college at the age of 16. Due to my age, I lacked the discipline needed to succeed then so joined the Army at 18 and finished first in my class in their HS program.
