I have experience working with students who are advanced and seeking supplementary tutoring as well as with students who are having difficulty with a subject. I have tutored mathematics as well as chemistry, biology, physics, and other subjects. I have tutored students from a range of ages and I worked with my first student over four years ago while I was in college.
I try to work with students to find connections between different aspects of the material that we're working on as well as to find connections to other subjects. I find that by relating specific topics to broader perspectives on a subject as well as related subjects, the student can gain a greater appreciation for the coherence and importance of a particular subject area.

For some time, I have been in other student's lives influencing their skills learning experience. As a grade school student, I worked with elementary school teachers for a couple of years, helping children in lower grade levels with math and science. A Little Bit About Me...

Ever since I was young, I have always found joy in mathematics. Number puzzles, real life applications, and the teaching of math are all fascinating and enjoyable to me. I studied mathematics and economics in college so I could work on more advanced quantitative problems for a career. I later returned to school to get a Master's degree in Operations Research, a mathematical modeling discipline. While I tutored some as a undergraduate student, I really began teaching and tutoring mathematics during the past two years.
