A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very unique. I start off by just getting to know the student and having them get to know and trust me. I then build on that trust factor while helping the students with their homework. I connect well with students and they trust me. In the end, it seems to be the best way the students I work with learn and finish their work. Learning should be fun and not boring. It should be interactive and not just book work. If a student can experience learning first hand, they're bound to acquire enough knowledge to help them succeed.

I believe student engagements is the key to learning. Hence I use various EDI strategies to ensure students are engaged in learning math concepts. I believe in group work and collaborations. I believe in modeling a math concept and right away checking for understanding. Throughout my high school career I maintained a GPA of at least 3.5. The same can be said for my college career so far. By majoring in Liberal Studies, I have gained an extensive knowledge of teaching methods as well as the ability to teach many different types of learners. I have put this knowledge and ability to use both last semester and this semester by tutoring students at Fresno State. This semester, many of my students have learning disabilities.
