I was a professor at Ithaca College for 34 years in the music department. In that capacity I taught private performance lesson, coached chamber ensembles, conducted various ensembles. supervised and coached student teachers, performed in a faculty artist-in-residence quintet, performed solo recitals, assisted students in writing essays, resumes, and applications for positions in the teaching field or graduate studies. I also had many experiences helping students through difficult academic and personal issues. LESSONS SHOULD ACCOMMODATE STUDENT LEARNING STYLES

I have 15 years of teaching experience with special needs students in a rural school district. During this time i provided private tutoring sessions for Elementary, Middle, High School and College students. At the college level my tutoring experience is with reading, writing, study skills and organization. Currently I develop educational programming for incarcerated youth.
My belief is that all students have different learning styles. Therefore lessons need to be individualized to meet student needs. In order to be successful students need to be engaged by creative teachers. My teaching experience has taught me to accommodate these needs when developing lesson plans.

A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a fifth-teen year old, currently enrolled at Thomas J. Corcoran High School, where I am a sophomore I currently take IB classes and wanted to start tutoring to pass the time and pick up a little extra cash. I'm drug free and have never tasted alcohol. I try to be patient and usually am. I'd prefer to work with children still in elementary or middle school, seeing as I haven't learned everything yet. I know the basic and more to just about everything eighth grade and below. Typically the setting in which the tutoring will take place will be my house in my dining room area and after that the student may watch television until his or her parent or guardian is there to pick them up.
