I enjoy teaching mathematics and biology. If the student is willing to learn in some fashion I can help him or her. I tend to teach by examples for mathematics and for biology I teach in a lecture style, answering questions in-depth when necessary. In both fields I can give in-depth explanations for concepts. Science is a topic that I have always been interested in. I earned a bachelor degree in chemistry, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. As a graduate student in Evolutionary Biology at Texas A&M University, I worked as a teaching assistant in undergraduate ecology and zoology labs. I found this experience to be very rewarding and went on to pursue a MA in Instruction. Since completing both graduate degrees in 2008, I have been teaching undergraduate biology at Winona State University.
