I was driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education based on my own families background and my own. Because I was overlooked it gave me the desire to help those that seemed mostlikely to not succeed. I earned a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education while working full time and being a full time mom. I went on to earn my Masters in Education and Psychology/Counseling. For the past 15 years I have taught in Public schools as well as Private schools.In addition, I have taught at a local Technical College. For the past year I have tutored students in grades 6-9.
I enjoy teaching, it is part of what I was born to do. I enjoy teaching children and adults. As a graduate of Columbus State University, I have been driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I have earned a teacher's certification in Special Education. The certification, along with the experience gained, has enabled me to gain an understanding of the disabled and at-risk student. Over the past eleven years I have learned and employed various teaching strategies that have aided in the success of my students. My passion is to teach and work with children. Although I believe that all students are capable of learning, I am certain that students learn in different ways. As a good educator, I am charged with the challenge of presenting the lesson so that it suits the students individual learning style.
