This really depends on the subject, however, I like to do drills to keep basic skills sharp, and to learn new skills. Each student is different, and will need slightly adjusted methodology. I'm also very open to suggestion.
I am a few years out of high school, and I've taken several college classes. My AP knowledge spans almost every subject. I can help with almost all high school level classes and below. The various sciences are probably my best subjects, however my knowledge of Biology is fairly limited. Interactive modeling of examples, repetition, and simplifying subject matter are key components of my teaching style. Many students have difficulty relating to academic material due the lack being given time to practice example assignments. I also teach universal strategies of how to study material to fully understand assignments.
