My comments on tutoring Poetry : I write poetry myself. I am great at helping a student find their own voice and cadence in the world of poetry.

My teaching style is creative, casual, positive, intuitive, and focused. I teach a striving for excellence not just in a particular subject but in life in general. I set a high bar (based on where the student stands) and I help the student achieve it. I believe there is brilliance in us all.
I am both a right and left brain thinker evidenced by the fact that I have both an academic undergraduate degree and a fine arts undergraduate degree. I have taught college students Graphic Design at Otis College of Design as well as Geography, Social Studies, and Art to K-6. I have spent 30 years as a Graphic Designer and Creative Director at educational institutions.
