I taught molecular biology, life science, Biology 101, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiolgy, Microbiology and health diseases, Medical terminology, environmental sciences, nutrition, and health education. I enjoy adapting my personal teaching style to each individual specifically. I would say that it is a little more toward laid back. Being over 6" tall, stocky, pushing hard, being an ogre, hard-nosed, that isn't going to work for me. People have a tendency to be a bit intimidated and fearful because of my size. I will use it to my advantage if it is necessary, or becomes necessary, but I've found being a little more quiet, reserved and coaxing the student to initiate the discussion is a little better. Ask leading questions, adjust and proceed, based on their response.
I have received degrees in Int'l Business from Lourdes College, as well an Associates Degree in Accounting from Owens Community College. While with the Ohio Air National Guard, participated in the Mentoring program with Township Elementary, Swanton Local Schools for five(5)-years. While an undergraduate at Michigan Technological University, I often helped fellow students with their physics or math homework. I also tutored a high school student in geometry for one semester while working for Study Point in Boston. I have extensive education and experience in Science, Engineering and Business.
