I am one of the most logical thinkers I know, so my teaching style is geared toward understanding individual concepts under the framework of analogous relationships (i.e. of grammatical patterns in Japanese, or of mathematical constructs) and relation to the bigger picture (how each individual concept builds upon the whole). I have successfully completed a Beacon tutor course in preparation for individual and group tutor sessions. I led a semester long Beacon tutoring supplement course in Organic Chemistry that supported 20 junior college students. I have effectively tutored/mentored a number of high school students in general education coursework, organizational skills, and in preparation for exit examinations. I have conducted community based math group sessions for junior high and high school students.
